The Petree College of Arts & Sciences at Oklahoma City University invites applications for non-tenure track renewable position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning in August 2025. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track renewable teaching position with a 4/4 load; multi-year contracts may be possible.
Teaching, Scholarship, and Service Requirements:
- The department is especially interested in candidates with considerable experience providing up-to-date General Education math curricula.
- The department will further give preference to someone who can teach one or more of the following: College Algebra, Linear Algebra, Calculus and Analytic Geometry, Discrete Mathematics, Real Analysis, Engineering Math, Numerical Methods, or Probability and Statistics.
- The successful candidate will participate in other service to the department and university, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level with demonstrable success.
- Experience in programmatic/curricular maintenance a plus.
- Must have at least an MS in Mathematics or related field.
Promotion and Tenure:
Effective teaching, scholarship, and service are required for promotion. Non-tenure track faculty are still eligible to stand for rank promotion through full professor.
