Kramer School of Nursing invites application for a 12-month, non-tenure track BSN clinical assistant professor of nursing beginning January 2025.
- Current, active unencumbered Oklahoma RN license required.
- Master of Science in Nursing is required.
- At least two (2) years of nursing practice experience required.
- Recent medical-surgical and critical care nursing practice required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Terminal degree preferred.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
Teaching, Scholarship and Service
- Prepare and conduct courses in conformity with objectives of the university, Kramer School of Nursing, and approving accrediting agencies.
- Evaluate student learning, skills, and abilities; and maintain records of such evaluations.
- Engage in scholarship that supports Kramer School of Nursing’s mission.
- Serve as a resource person in areas of expertise and to other faculty and personnel of the community.
- Act as advisor to nursing students for the promotion of excellence in academic and clinical practice.
- Serve the university and the Kramer School of Nursing, including committee work as appropriate.
- Adhere to all policies within the Oklahoma City University Faculty Handbook and the KSN Employee Handbook.
- Participate in university activities and professional organizations as a member.
- Participate in the school’s assessment program, and in student recruiting and retention efforts for the school and the university.
Other duties as assigned.
