Classification Summary:
Serves as the adviser to three Greek Council and all-Greek events such as Greek Week. Communicates with National Headquarters regarding concerns with the fraternities and sororities. Serves as the representative for the Greek community on committees which may impact the organizations or Greek Life.

Classification Standard Duties:
Serve as the primary adviser to Inter-Fraternity, Panhellenic and Multicultural Greek Council. Oversee all Greek letter events. Serve as university liaison to national headquarters. Serve as a resource to fraternity and sorority chapters. Serve as the representative of the Greek community on university committees whose decisions may impact Greek Life. Facilitate the expansion process for new chapters colonizing on the campus.

Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of student development theory; Knowledge the governing bodies which set standards for fraternities and sororities; Knowledge of leadership development and group dynamics; A clear understanding of the role of advisor to student organizations; SKILLS:Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Public speaking and presentations; Flexibility in daily task; ABILITIES:Facilitate conflict resolution between individuals and groups; Work with a diverse population of students; Adapt to changes; Prioritize daily task and projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary adviser to Inter-Fraternity Council and the Panhellenic Council. Serve as a resource to fraternity and sorority chapters, and meet regularly with chapter leadership. Oversee all Greek letter events hosted by IFC, Panhellenic, and/or the FSL Office, and provide risk management support and counsel for individual chapters, including coordinating the event review and approval process with SILP and chapter advisors. Serve as university liaison to national headquarters, chapter advisors, and alumni. Facilitate the expansion process for new chapters colonizing on the campus. Supervise any FSL staff, graduate assistants, or student assistants.

Master's degree in a related field
