Classification Summary:
Responsible for overseeing business operations support in individual or multiple program area(s). Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the development and execution of management processes, training and education on standard requirements and methods, creating models to improve business decisions, personnel functions, labor and/or cost reporting, document editing, process quality control, pricing, tracking and management of documentation and/or automated processes.

Classification Standard Duties:
As appropriate may develop or assist in the development and maintenance of business reporting and management tools/processes. May supervise regular or temporary staff. Responsible for supervising business process transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing. May oversee and/or assist, as appropriate, in areas such as business finance, planning, scheduling, contractual compliance, cost management, and proposal support.

Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
Required Education:High School diploma or GED certificate.; Required Experience:Four (4) years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined.; Equivalency:Completion of a post-secondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience.; Required Certification/License:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of general business principles and/or procedures. Knowledge of marketing strategies, processes, and available resources.; SKILLS:Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment. Employee development and performance management skills.; ABILITIES:Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement standardized procedures for inventory control, documentation, and process quality assurance.
Maintain accurate records of real and expendable property using systems such as the State Property Accounting System (SPA), UTD Financial System (FINS), and Logical Tracking System (LTS).
Coordinate and conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory counts across campus buildings and outdoor storage locations.
Utilize ITSM, ITAM, and Technology Expense Management (TEM) platforms to manage inventory and support financial reporting.
Review purchase requisitions, assign property expense codes, and ensure compliance with contract and federal property regulations.
Manage shipping and receiving logistics, including handling multiple daily deliveries and lifting items over 20 lbs frequently.
Support personnel functions, cost reporting, document editing, and pricing analysis.
Provide training and guidance on asset management standards and tools to internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of inventory control principles, financial systems, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in using asset management and ticketing systems (e.g., ITSM, ITAM, TEM).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain accurate and orderly records and use independent judgment in decision-making.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present reports and coordinate across departments.
Physical ability to lift and move items over 20 lbs multiple times daily and work in various environments, including outdoor storage areas.
