Summary:  *Development Plan Opportunity*
This position may be under filled as an IAM,Assc on a career development plan if unable to fill at the Intermediate level. Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience- No previous work experience required.

The IAM, Inter ensures secure and seamless identity management at NMSU with our robust IAM platform. By integrating various data sources and maintaining accurate mapping rules, we streamline access while enhancing security. Classification Summary:
Under supervision, performs work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult, but usually involves limited responsibility. Responsible for overall systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support.

Classification Standard Duties:
Designs, implements/installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures. Generally focuses on projects for one of the following disciplines: Unix, Windows, AS400, storage, reporting, testing, middleware, or other software.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
In partnership with functional users and IT Governance, manage and maintain the NMSU enterprise identity and access management (IAM) platform. Connect and integrate various data sources, such as directories, databases, and applications, into the IAM system to ensure seamless identity management. Develop and maintain mapping rules to align data from different sources with IAM requirements. Monitor IAM platform activity and perform regular audits. Collaborate with other IT team members to design and implement IAM solutions that meet business requirements. Plan and implement upgrades or enhancements to IAM platforms to improve functionality and security. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve system reliability and performance. Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain an accurate and comprehensive knowledge base.

Preferred Qualifications

ITIL is preferred

Experience developing and implementing automation workflows is preferred
