Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develops and implements marketing strategies to promote all academic programs within the School of Nursing, including BSN, MSN, and DNP pathways for student recruitment.
• Designs and distributes marketing materials (flyers, brochures, digital ads, videos, etc.) in coordination with NMSU Marketing and Communications to ensure consistent university branding.
• Coordinates with faculty, staff, and students to collect success stories, testimonials, and program highlights for promotional use.
• Assists in the creation and dissemination of newsletters and e-blasts to internal and external audiences for recruiting to the nursing programs.
• Manages the School of Nursing’s social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc), including content creation, scheduling, and audience engagement.
• Develops an annual social media calendar aligned with academic cycles, recruitment events, and key university initiatives for nursing student recruiting.
• Creates engaging multimedia content such as student spotlights, event highlights, faculty features, and short videos to enhance visibility and engagement.
• Monitors analytics to assess social media performance and recommends strategies to increase reach and engagement for retention and recruitment of nursing students.
• Responds to online inquiries and comments in a timely, professional manner, maintaining NMSU’s positive public image.
• Works closely with the Director of the School of Nursing, program directors, and academic advisors to ensure marketing and recruitment messages reflect current curricula and opportunities.
• Collaborates with the HEST College communications and recruitment teams to align efforts across departments.
• Assists with planning and promotion of student recognition events, such as pinning ceremonies and open houses.
• Maintains an organized database of contacts, events, and outcomes for recruitment and marketing activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the School of Nursing.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma + 1 years of relevant experience, or higher degree.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.
Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
