Job Duties and Responsibilities: Delivers group and individual Adult Education instruction to include high school equivalency preparation and integrated training and education for adults. Develops training curricula and / or recommends or utilizes vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives. May collaborate with a technical instructor to support high school equivalency students while they simultaneously work toward education that leads to family-sustaining careers.
Formulates training outlines and determines instructional methods that best suit adult learners. Delivery may include differentiated instruction, class lectures, workshops and online instruction. Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document education. Evaluates effectiveness of educational delivery methods and uses relevant data to recommend and implement changes as needed.
May review instructor performance and recommend improvements to program content and / or instructor presentation methods. May recruit, select and train instructors. May lead, guide and train staff / student employees, interns and / or volunteers who are performing related work. May coordinate and facilitate instruction with NMSU partner entities.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.
Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
