Job Duties and Responsibilities: This position provides high level administrative and operational support within the Office of the Vice President for Research, Creativity, and Economic Development (RCED). The role supports day to day office functions and assists in coordinating administrative, financial, and operational activities in alignment with University policies and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with the development and implementation of internal processes, preparing correspondence and reports, and supporting communication with internal and external stakeholders. The position may represent RCED at meetings and serve on University committees as assigned.
As Executive Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Research, this role is responsible for complex calendar management, meeting coordination, and scheduling to ensure efficient use of executive time. The position serves as a primary administrative point of contact, managing correspondence, screening communications, and prioritizing requests to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
The role supports executive decision making by gathering and organizing information, preparing briefing materials, maintaining records, and distributing relevant documentation. This position also assists with coordination of research and administrative projects by tracking timelines, supporting communication among stakeholders, and ensuring deliverables are met in accordance with established schedules and guidelines.

Associate's Degree + 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
