Job Duties and Responsibilities: To serve a representative for New Mexico State University Alamogordo in speaking with various groups such as potential students, current students, staff/faculty, and other organizations/parties that are requesting assistance in knowledge and information for our community campus. To be a recruiter and attend both campus/off campus events that would provide details regarding our programs and resources for our campus. This would include travel time to our surrounding communities such as: Tularosa, Cloudcroft, and Mescalero; K-12 schools and community events. Maintain reports for recruitment efforts. Assists our perspective and current students on information to complete a successful admittance process. This will be in assistance to our Admissions department, along with our Admission Specialist Processors. They will serve assistance students in understanding our programs and the next steps of continuing of enrollment process. Develops good network connections with various parties such as community members/organizations, surrounding area partnerships, and system-wide personnel. They will assist in development and participation of co-curricular events on campus/off campus to maintain retention. Be involved in events such as graduation, Student Services events, campus communications, and campus visits. Assist in coordinating New Student Orientation. Maintaining a relationship with our surrounding high school/homeschools/private schools and assisting with Dual Credit efforts. They will maintain records of dual credit students, such as scheduling appointments with Academic Advisors for advisement sessions on next semester courses. Scheduling events for both Admissions and Academic Advisors to attend each school and provide dual credit information.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.; Required Experience:No previous work experience required.; Equivalency: Associates Degree and Two (2) years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined; Required Certification/License:None.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed indoors.

Physical Effort: Moderate physical activity.
