Job Duties and Responsibilities: In partnership with functional stakeholders, develop business intelligence solutions sourced from institutional and external data to meet the needs of university leadership and stakeholders. Collaborate with decision makers and other technical teams to implement data architecture and models to advance analytics at NMSU. Collect business requirements from subject matter experts and research sources of data to identify limitations and/or make recommendations to enhance data collection for purpose of enhanced analytics and decision making opportunities. Adhering to data management, data standards and industry-accepted architecture principles and best practices, develop extract, transform and load (ETL) processes to create datamarts from ancillary systems and external sources. Ensure adherence to industry-accepted architecture principles. Design datasets and data models for the enterprise across all business functions of the university for use in self-service analytics. Coordinates new data development with key stakeholders ensuring consistency and integration with existing warehouse structure. Supervise junior technical staff. Lead and execute data projects delivering on time and as expected.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 9 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 7 years of relevant experience. Master's degree or higher preferred.
