Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Staff Nurse provides professional nursing services and patient care at the direction of medical director or nurse supervisor. Follows established nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Ensures adherence to university policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices. Provides direct, professional nursing care to a specified population of patients.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience: 1–2 years of direct clinical nursing experience preferred.
Skills: Clinical proficiency, strong communication skills, patient-centered care, confidentiality adherence, and ability to respond to emergent situations.
Clinical operations and procedures. Knowledge of nursing theory and practice. Knowledge of clinical and/or surgical facilities, instruments, and equipment.
Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care programs. Ability to draw intravenous and peripheral blood.
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records.
Performs chart audits and reviews clinical documentation to ensure accuracy.
Ensures compliance with JCAHO accreditation standards
