Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Assistant Athletics Marketing & Game Operations Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing, promotional, and game day operations for New Mexico State Athletics. This position assists in enhancing fan engagement, executing in-game promotions, and supporting marketing initiatives across assigned sports. Supports the execution of game day operations to ensure a smooth and engaging fan experience. Assists with implementing run-of-show scripts, coordinating in-game promotions, and managing on-field or on-court activities. Assists in the implementation of marketing plans and promotional strategies designed to increase attendance and fan engagement for assigned sports. Helps coordinate giveaways, theme nights, and student engagement initiatives. Supports the execution of in-game promotions and fan engagement activities to enhance the overall game day atmosphere. Assists with coordinating contestants, managing promotional materials, and helping ensure activities run smoothly during events. Assists with coordinating marketing materials and digital content by working with creative services and supporting social media efforts as assigned. Provides general support for marketing and game operations including organizing materials, tracking promotional inventory, and assisting with reporting and event logistics.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate’s Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed indoors.

Physical Effort: Light physical effort. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.

Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
