Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Student Services Assistant III for Nurse Anesthesiology Program Operations and Compliance oversees the adherence of nurse anesthesiology students and faculty compliance with clinical site requirements, as well as federal, state, and accreditation agency regulations for clinical nursing education. This role entails maintaining databases and management systems to monitor students' progress in meeting the educational program’s clinical requirements.

Specific Duties
• Clinical Compliance Oversight: Coordinates the clinical clearance process for nurse anesthesiology students/residents, including verifying clearances from external vendors, reviewing student clinical clearance documents, submitting verifications to clinical agencies, and maintaining clinical clearance records. Responds to questions related to background checks, drug screenings, immunization records, clinical facility training, and other clinical clearance requirements.
• Database and Records Management: Manages databases and document management systems for clinical clearances, clinical preceptor qualifications, and other compliance-related data.
• Support for Logistical Coordination of Clinical Activities: Assists the Nurse Anesthesiology Clinical Program Administrator with all clinical activities, including resident site placement, managing resident placement records, developing resident clinical schedules, participating in resident clinical site onboarding, and overseeing the clinical platform used by residents to log cases, hours, and other clinical statistics.
• Strategic Mission and Community Outreach: Actively supports the program’s strategic objectives by promoting clinical site development opportunities through community outreach.
• General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for Nurse Anesthesiology program initiatives and events, including, but not limited to, applicant interviews, student orientation and onboarding, student events, and graduation activities.
• Participates in Nurse Anesthesiology program strategic planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives related to clinical education, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of program effectiveness, student learning outcomes, and achievement of long-term program goals.
• Other duties as assigned that support the Nurse Anesthesiology Clinical Program Administrator and the execution of the School of Nursing’s strategic goals and initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
High School diploma + 3 years of relevant experience or an Associate's Degree + 1 year of relevant experience.
