Target Hourly/Salary Rate: $43,908.80 - $54,885.74 Commensurate with Qualifications

Appointment Full-time Equivalency: 1.0

FLSA Status: Exempt

Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is NOT a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Contingent Upon Funding: Contingent upon funding

Standard Work Schedule: Shift: Other Shift

If Not a Standard Work Schedule: May involve a split shift teaching mornings and evening and occasional weekends.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Instructional Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain curriculum aligned with departmental, state, and federal standards.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based instruction aligned with adult learning principles and workforce readiness goals.
• Adapt instructional content and strategies to meet the needs of assigned instructional areas and learner populations.

Student Persistence and Engagement
• Develop and implement strategies to support student attendance, persistence, and retention.
• Monitor learner participation and conduct outreach to students experiencing attendance or engagement barriers.
• Collaborate with Student Services and other support teams to coordinate learner support and referrals.

Professional Development and Collaboration
• Develop and complete an annual professional learning plan aligned with departmental priorities.
• Participate in required departmental meetings, trainings, and professional development activities, including Friday meetings.
• Participate in local, regional, and state conferences, professional learning opportunities, and communities of practice related to adult education and workforce development.

Data, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
• Collect, maintain, and use student and program data in accordance with departmental, state, and federal requirements.
• Collaborate with Data and Assessment teams to support reporting accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Use data to inform instructional practices, retention strategies, and learner support interventions.

Operational and Department Responsibilities
• Proctor all departmental assessments as needed.
• Maintain regular onsite presence at assigned campus locations; campus assignments and onsite schedules may vary based on program needs.
• Manage instructional equipment, technology, and classroom resources responsibly.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 9 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 7 years of relevant experience. Master's degree or higher preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
