We are seeking a Clinical Manager – Residential Care to join our dedicated team and ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care in a residential setting. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to lead and mentor nursing staff while driving continuous improvements in care practices.
Position Purpose
The Clinical Manager (CM) will provide high-level clinical expertise and leadership in a residential care setting. You will be responsible for overseeing care planning, guiding clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with best practices. This role involves auditing clinical processes, addressing clinical issues, and driving quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident well-being.
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care Management: Provide expert clinical support to the Facility Manager (FM) and Assistant Director (AD). Develop and implement care plans and ensure adherence to best practice standards.

Staff Management & Development: Mentor nursing staff, assess competencies, and ensure training and development to meet the latest clinical practices.

Documentation & Quality Assurance: Ensure accurate and timely completion of all clinical documentation and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Work Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to Work Health and Safety guidelines and foster a safe working environment.

Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends, maintain relevant qualifications, and contribute to the development of the clinical team.
Key Skills and Qualifications

Required:
-
AHPRA Nursing registration
-
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant nursing field (minimum 12 months clinical experience in that specialty)

At least 4 years of post-registration nursing experience, including 3 years in a relevant specialty
-
Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
-
Proven ability to develop and lead clinical teams effectively
-
High level of flexibility, time management, and adaptability

Desired:
-
Experience in Aged Care Services
-
Post-basic qualifications in Gerontology, Palliative Care, or Education
-
Experience in implementing evidence-based practices and clinical development
Other Requirements:

Current First Aid Certificate

Criminal history check and renewals
-
Ability to adapt to varying work hours based on business needs
