The Opportunity

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our team at Ascott Gardens Hostel in Orange Region. A great opportunity exists, with availability required on weekends, for someone to perform cooking and kitchen duties.

We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility. 

 

What you will bring to the role: 

  • Experienced in planning, preparation and cooking fresh meals
  • Experience in table service and clearing duties
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation – desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
  • Experience in Aged Care desirable
  • Current First Aid Certificate desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player who is highly motivated
  • Availability to work various shifts across various days
