The Opportunity
We are looking for a regional Operations Lead to join our Home Care at UPA of NSW. Reporting to the Director of Home Care, in this pivotal role you will oversee the coordination, management and quality delivery of Home Care/Consumer-care services. You will be responsible for workforce development, governance, continuous improvement and quality oversight and the implementation of Work Health Safety frameworks across the home care division. This role is flexible in location and you can be based in anywhere across our operational footprint in Southern and Western NSW, including Greater Metropolitan Sydney, Albury, Orange or Dubbo.
Duties will include (but not limited to):

Strategic Leadership & Planning: Lead service development initiatives, monitor KPIs, and identify trends to enhance Home & Community Care services in alignment with UPA’s mission.

Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient, compliant operations through regular reviews, risk management, incident reporting, and continuous service improvement.

Staff Management & Culture: Foster a supportive work environment, ensure staff are qualified and aligned with UPA’s values, and implement workforce planning and development systems.

Governance & Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain systems to meet Aged Care Quality Standards, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate on quality programs and documentation.

Financial Accountability: Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure regions meet financial KPIs.

Work Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold WHS responsibilities by ensuring personal and team compliance with safety regulations and procedures.

Marketing & Stakeholder Engagement: Promote UPA services through community engagement, marketing strategies, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Professional Conduct & Development: Uphold ethical standards, participate in performance reviews and training, and stay current with industry trends and professional requirements

What you bring
- AHPRA Registered Nurse or equivalent Health qualifications demonstrating leadership in the provision of high-quality home care services.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality & Safety (ACQS) Standards & the outcomes required in each standard.
- Understanding of UPA’s Strategic Goals
- Strong Planning and time management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and embed change.
- Ability to develop, coach, train and lead a new team.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Experience in liaising and negotiating with community service providers.
- Well-developed analytical and conceptual abilities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work according to strict guidelines and an eye for detail.
- Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving and conflict-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office Professional Suite (all applications)
