The opportunity:  

As a Scheduler, you will ensure that UPA’s Home Care commitment is met by coordinating personalized services that reflect each our clients' needs and preferences. Working closely with clients, coordinators, partners, and staff, you will be required to support effective care planning and delivery. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will need to connect model of care through customer-focused scheduling and active team collaboration. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Forecast and coordinate daily rostering needs across the region, accommodating various leave schedules and shift requirements
  • Direct and allocate resources as needed ensuring team members are allocated to customers appropriately, business processes are followed, and expectations are managed.
  • Analyse and interpret scheduling data to maximise efficiency and utilisation of Home Care funding.
  • Escalate any shifts that are unable to be filled and/or service issues within the appropriate time frames and procedures
  • Attends to Customers in a responsive, professional, and empathetic manner ensuring changing support needs, goals and preferences are met.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills to support customers, their families, employees, and other stakeholders. 
  • Individualised services to ensure that Customers are allocated to the most appropriate Home Care employee based on the customer's preferences and their skill set.
  • Manage documentation and records with accuracy and timeliness.  

What you’ll need: 

  • Experience working in Rostering Services.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent customer service via call, email, and face-to-face interactions
  • Knowledge and understanding of enterprise agreement and employment conditions
  • Highly developed data input and analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse raw data and present the analysis in an appropriate manner
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share knowledge and information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willingness to engage with other staff to resolve queries in an accurate and timely manner.
