The Opportunity 

An opportunity has become available to join our home care team as a Team Leader in our Far North Coast team, based in Tweed Heads. The Team Leader will lead and manage Care Workers in Home Care service delivery. Accountabilities encompass supporting recruitment, driving team retention, and ensuring thorough team support and supervision.

The Role 

Reporting to the Home Care Service Manager, your role will involve: 

  • Providing leadership to the team always acting as a positive role model.

  • Ensure work practices and processes comply with UPA’s Policy, Guidelines and Code of Conduct. 

  • Maintain appropriately trained and qualified and skilled workforce to meet the needs of the service clientele. 

  • Facilitate meetings, education and training as required.

  • Monitoring staff leave to maintain service delivery needs are met.

  • Recruitment selection and orientation of new employees including buddying new staff and assist in mentoring staff.

  • Ensure a safe environment is maintained for all employees by contributing to annual Home Safety Checklists, regular safety audits and risk assessments as required.

About You

  • Minimum Certificate-III level qualification in community services or other relevant qualifications.

  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead & work as part of a team.

  • A current, unrestricted Drivers License.

  • Understanding of current Aged Care legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.

  • Highly developed planning, influence, and negotiation skills.
