About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a strategic and commercially minded finance professional to join UPA in a senior leadership role as Commercial Manager (Head of FP&A).
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for providing forward-looking financial planning, performance reporting and commercial analysis to support sustainable growth across all aged care operations, including residential care, home care and retirement living.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UPA’s budgeting and forecasting processes
- Deliver monthly financial and performance reports using Power BI
- Partner with executives and operational leaders to support strategic decision-making
- Develop business cases for major projects and investments
- Identify cost optimisation opportunities and financial risk areas
- Oversee regulatory compliance reporting, including aged care reforms and care minute tracking
- Manage and develop a small team of analysts
About You
You are a commercially focused finance professional who thrives in a purpose-driven environment. You bring strong technical capabilities alongside the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, or commerce
- Advanced Power BI and Excel modelling experience
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills
- A solid understanding of aged care or healthcare funding models
- Experience working at a strategic level with executive teams and boards
- Familiarity with Department of Health compliance requirements and sector reforms
