The Opportunity
To ensure the effective allocation of staff across our Residential Aged Care facilities statewide, we are seeking an experienced and capable Rostering Manager. Reporting to the Director of Residential Aged Care and as part of the Corporate Shared Services team, you will apply your expertise in developing and maintaining efficient and effective staff rosters that comply with legislative, industrial and funding requirements (including AN-ACC) and most importantly our resident's needs. You will proactively support senior managers, facility managers and clinical leaders to ensure there is a balance between meeting the care needs of residents, ensuring staff wellbeing and ensuring financial sustainability.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
In addition to publishing and maintaining accurate rosters for Residential Aged Care services that align to organisational workforce planning strategies, and legal and regulatory requirements you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring rosters comply with the 2024 Aged Care Act, AN-ACC funding and resident care needs, Quarterly Care Minute targets and Aged Care Quality standards
- Ensuring safe and effective staffing across residential aged care services
- Collaborating with operational leadership and People & Culture teams to monitor workforce levels, address gaps and implement solutions
- Managing urgent and planned roster changes, supporting recruitment and workforce planning and providing reporting on key workforce metrics (staffing coverage, overtime, agency use, care minute compliance)
- Maintaining and optimising rostering systems (e.g. Humanforce) and promoting fairness and staff wellbeing as well as contributing to continuous improvement in workforce management

What you bring
- Recency of experience in rostering, workforce coordination, or scheduling within a large multi-site aged care organisation.
- Strong understanding of aged care workforce requirements, including AN-ACC funding model and care minute obligations.
- Knowledge of relevant industrial instruments, workplace legislation, and rostering best practice.
- Proficiency in workforce management/rostering software (Humanforce desirable) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in a corporate of multi-site environment is desirable
