The Opportunity

We are seeking a Full-time Food Assistant to join our team at Rathgar Lodge. The idea candidate must be available to work Mondays- Sunday, form 7am to 3pm. In this position, you will contribute to the wellbeing of our residents by delivering nutritious meals and maintaining a high standard of kitchen operations.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience in planning, preparing, and cooking fresh meals
  • Experience in table service and clearing duties
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced kitchen and/or bulk food preparation (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Standards and HACCP compliance
  • Experience in aged care (desirable)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A motivated team player with a strong work ethic
  • Availability to work various shifts across multiple days

Pre‑Employment Screening

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Be vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy (including TGA‑approved COVID‑19 vaccines and annual influenza vaccination)
  • Undergo a National Criminal History Check
  • Complete a Pre‑Employment Medical Assessment
