  • Package up to $124,982.86 pa. Package includes salary range ($99,938.00 pa to $110,271.00 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
  • Office located in Alexandria (minimum 3 days per week in the office). The role is also required to occasionally travel to the office in Newcastle, and attend meetings at Greenacre or other Fire and Rescue NSW locations

About the role:      

As an Admin and Project Officer for Operational Communication, you will provide administrative support to our Strategic Operations Centre (SOC) and you will be one of the first personnel involved in a SOC activation.

You will also be responsible for continual improvement of the SOC and its business process, doctrine and facilities.

You will provide training and mentorship for admin staff working within the SOC.

There are other projects and groups that you will also support, including Inter-agency CAD Electronic Messaging System (ICEMS), ensuring that project tasks are effectively tracked and completed.

Lastly, you will assist internal and external investigations by providing radio and phone recordings arising from emergency events.

About you:

You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Are highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Have strong administrative skills, including experience in coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, reports, correspondence and support financial and budget processes such as asset management
  • Can undertake research and analysis to support programs of work and project delivery
  • Can learn, develop, implement and maintain administrative systems and contribute to strategic planning
  • Demonstrate strong records and information management skills as well as ensure processes and documentation is up to date and aligned with operational requirements
  • Flexible to work in high-pressure environments such as the Strategic Operations Centre (SOC), including during times of activation which may be on weekends.
  • Can communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across various levels internally and externally
