About the Role:
An opportunity exists for an experienced Property Data Officer to join Bayside City Council’s Revenue team. Reporting to the Revenue & Valuations Coordinator, this role plays a key part in maintaining accurate property and valuation data, supporting statutory processes, and delivering high quality customer service.
In this role you will:
- Maintain property, valuation, and revenue data across Council and statutory systems
- Support supplementary valuations, street numbering, objections, and referrals
- Respond to internal and external Revenue enquiries in line with service standards
- Contribute to compliant and consistent Revenue service delivery
This is a hands on, specialist role suited to someone who enjoys working with detailed data, statutory processes, and customer interactions in a collaborative local government environment.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in property, revenue, valuation, or rates administration, ideally within a local government or statutory environment
- Demonstrated ability to accurately maintain property and valuation records across multiple systems, with strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of property and valuation data maintenance, including supplementary valuations or street numbering processes
- Well-developed customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing tasks in a busy operational environment
- Experience with systems such as Civica Authority, VM Online, CRM, SPEAR or an electronic document management system (desirable, not essential)
Mandatory pre-employment requirements:
- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check
