Description: Performs a variety of professional duties required to support the day-to-day operations of the school health services program, including the handling of complex and/or sensitive situations; oversees liaison staff; collaborates with school and county organizations and groups.

Qualifications: 

• Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
• Three (3) years of progressive experience in the provision of services to school-aged children in an educational setting or in a pediatric community health role.
• Possession of a current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia and in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing.
• Knowledge of theory, procedures, and practices related to student health and wellness.
• Knowledge of public health concerns and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies.
• Proficiency in the use of technology.
• Ability to collaborate with other child-serving agencies.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with other professionals within the schools and communities.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to gather, analyze, interpret, and reconcile data.
• Working knowledge of computers and software applications.
