General Information:
James Madison University, a Division I member of the NCAA, is seeking a Football Video and Technology Coordinator. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Video Coordinator:
- Coordination of all video operations for football including videotaping, video editing, video exchange, and video equipment for all football activities (practices – in-season/off-season, games – regular/postseason, etc.)
- Assist with videotaping all football practices and games while breaking down opponent’s videos, including, but not limited to, self-scout, cut-ups, etc.
- Maintain video library, both archives and current files and data
- Import PFF data into self-scout, opponent scout and NFL databases. Track and coordinate data analytics.
- Administrator for all football program video editing, video exchange, and video equipment for the coaches, support staff and student-athletes
- Lead, manage and supervise pat-time student video staff that assists with videotaping and video editing assignments related to practices and games during the off-season and in-season.
- Manage and supervise all system-wide updates related to hardware and programs in coordination with Athletics IT and Campus IT
- Manage football technological needs for team hotels (home/away/postseason) like computers, laptops, iPads, screens, printers, projectors, etc.
- Home/Away/Postseason Set-Up and Tear-Down of Technology
New Technologies:
- Implement, research, manage, and troubleshoot new technologies related to the football program
- Coordinate and manage all football specific practice and game day technologies (Catapult, DVSport, C2P, IGV, etc.) for all practices and games (home/away/postseason) in conjunction with Athletics IT and Campus IT to ensure equipment and processes can be implemented effectively.
- Provide oversight of all new technologies and video operations for practices and games and coordinate with opponents, Athletics Facilities and IT and Campus IT to solve and troubleshoot if needed
- Multimedia Production
- Assist with team meetings, position meetings, clinic and other technology needs for the coaching/support staff of the football program
- Provide input and support with the development of football program highlights to be used for pre-season, in-season and post-season team presentations
- Assist with recruiting video and film technology needs to help produce in-house recruiting content (Hudl, TrackingFootball, Final Cut-Pro, Photoshop, etc.)
Day-to-Day / Departmental Collaboration:
- Manage all technologies (hardware and programs) for the football program
- Assist with tracking inventory of computers, tablets, projectors, etc. for the football program in coordination with Athletics IT.
- Coordinate and have strong knowledge in all technology related to the football program
- Gather appropriate information for Technology Solution Requests and Work Closely with Athletics IT to submit such request to Campus IT.
- Serve as the liaison for the football program with Athletics IT and Campus IT to help troubleshoot and resolve IT issues within the football department
- Assist with administrative responsibilities and general office projects as assigned by the Assistant A.D., Football Administration, Head
- Football Coach and Director of Football Operations
Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience working in a college or pro football coaches video setting
- Experience working with Catapult Thunder editing software
- Knowledge of other Football Specific Software (PFF, CFP and NFL exchange, etc.)
