General Information:
Accounts Payable at James Madison University is accepting applications for Fiscal Technician Senior. This position performs the final review and audit of state expenditures and transactions prior to the actual payment following State and University policies. This position manages, controls and processes all requests for payment of goods and services for the University in a complex, automated environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides customer service to our vendors and campus partners to process payments in compliance with prompt payment regulations all while ensuring compliance with the State and University Financial Procedures. Uses knowledge of Accounts Payable system and eVA and how expenditure transactions pass on to the University Check write software. Understands and performs payment processing of all vouchers across multiple pay functions and related banking & reconciliation processing. Provides administrative backup functions.

- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products
- Data entry skills
Additional Considerations:
- Experience with accounts payable process; purchase orders to payment processing
- Experience analyzing and reviewing expenditures for accuracy all while staying in compliance with rules and regulations
- Experience with accounting software systems
- Familiarity with document storage platforms
