General Information:
James Madison University’s Department of Business Management invites applications for a RTA (renewable term agreement) Lecturer position beginning in the Fall of 2026. The position has a teaching load of eight courses. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must be able to teach in the primary area of project management and in one or more of the following secondary areas: innovation, consulting, strategic management, or international management. Classes in the management department are typically highly interactive; therefore, evidence of teaching effectiveness is particularly important. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and demonstrate an ability to collaborate.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master’s degree in management or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required.
- Significant and substantive professional work experience within the past five years relevant to the position and topic areas.
- At least one year of college level teaching experience, with additional teaching experience and demonstrated effectiveness strongly preferred.
