The Operations & Systems Manager for Corporate and Foundation Relations is a member of the Philanthropy and Engagement division. The Operations & Systems Manager reports to the Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. All duties are carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of Philanthropy and Engagement, the Development Office, and the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations. The Operations & Systems Manager provides operational leadership and infrastructure support for the Corporate and Foundation Relations unit, ensuring that the systems, data, and processes enabling corporate and foundation engagement are accurate, efficient, and aligned with institutional strategy. The Operations & Systems Manager serves as the primary administrator of the JMU Corporate Partnership Hub, supporting the platform’s growth as the central coordination point for engagement teams, relationship managers, and cross-campus collaboration. The position also supports prospect development efforts, maintains data integrity across systems, and oversees operational processes that are foundational to the success and scalability of CFR’s work.
Assistant Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations Harrisonburg
The Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is a member of the Philanthropy and Engagement division. The Assistant Director reports to the Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. All duties are carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of Philanthropy and Engagement, the Development Office, and the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations. The Assistant Director advances philanthropic support from private foundations and corporate giving programs by developing and managing a strategic pipeline of funding opportunities aligned with JMU’s strategic priorities. This role leads proposal development, manages charitable sponsorship opportunities, and supports faculty and campus partners in pursuing external funding. The Assistant Director serves as a key connector between campus priorities and funder interests, translating university strengths into compelling philanthropic opportunities and ensuring charitable sponsorships are properly qualified, documented, and stewarded. This position participates actively in the Corporate Partnership Hub engagement team model, ensuring philanthropic sponsorship opportunities are integrated into broader institutional partnership strategies. The position plays a central role in expanding JMU’s philanthropic sponsorship portfolio and driving revenue growth through private philanthropic sources.
Assistant Director, Learning Initiatives Harrisonburg

Library Services Supervisor (Part-Time) Harrisonburg
James Madison University’s Libraries is seeking several part-time Supervisors to join the Library & Information Services (LIS) team in the Access & User Services department. The successful candidates will join a team dedicated to offering high-quality services to JMU and the local community. The positions will help staff our physical Ask the Library service points and support virtual services. The positions work to maintain a shared standard of service at all library service points and operating hours, as well as respond effectively to diverse user needs. The positions also help support the student and full-time employees in LIS. The positions are part-time wage positions with no benefits, working an average of 25-29 hours per week. Normal work shifts for the positions will align with operations for our buildings. When classes are in session, typical shifts may take place from: • Opening: Monday-Friday 7am-12pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am-2pm • Closing: 5pm-12:30am Sunday-Thursday, 4pm-8:30pm Friday, 2pm-8:30pm Saturday During Final Exams, summer, and intersession periods, work hours will shift earlier or later in alignment with operating hours. Therefore, some flexibility with work schedules is necessary to reflect the shifts in operations. Shifts will occur primarily in both Rose Library and Carrier Library service locations. Graduate Assistant - Substance Education Programs Harrisonburg
The Graduate Assistant – Substance Education Programs is a graduate student in the Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices who reports to the Coordinator of Educational Programs and directly supervises one undergraduate student in the Student Case Administrator role. As a part of this role, the Graduate Assistant conducts one-on-one Individual Accountability Case Reviews for students who are alleged to have violated university policy, determines responsibility, and if applicable assigns outcomes. This Graduate Assistant also facilitates an educational program, Calling the Shots, that typically requires evening commitments 1-2 days per week. The individual in this role also participates in staff training, professional development opportunities, outreach opportunities, supporting our educational programs, and collaborates in the recruitment of volunteers. Compensation for this position includes a stipend and tuition coverage.
