Philanthropic Communications and Content Intern - IE Harrisonburg
JMU's Philanthropic Communications team is looking for a curious, relationship-driven Langridge Fellow to join us for the 2026-27 academic year. In this year-long role, You’ll serve as a liaison to our partner, Valley Scholars, by: helping build a framework for lasting community among their students and alumni; writing stories that inspire giving to the program; and keeping their giving websites up to date. In the spring, you'll support Family Business Symposium, one of Principal Giving's signature donor events. You will gain hands-on experience building systems for alumni engagement through social media and newsletters, maintaining accurate donor records in Salesforce, and supporting high-touch events, all while developing professional skills through close mentorship and structured supervision. Hours: This student position is 10-15 hours per week. Between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, during the semester. (We will determine your work schedule based on your availability.) This is a year-long commitment for the 2026-27 academic year, starting October 2026. Associate Director, Research and Public Health Harrisonburg
The Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services (IIHHS) is accepting applications for a full-time Associate Director of Research and Public Health. The Associate Director serves on the IIHHS Leadership Team, and takes a lead role in IIHHS strategic initiatives related to research and evaluation. This position also supervises and contributes to public health evaluation efforts done in partnership with the State, and is responsible for collaborating on grants to continue the public health research activities conducted out of IIHHS. This position also assists in grant applications to continue and grow our work across the Institute, and particularly in the areas of Research and Public Health. This role includes mentoring faculty and students as collaborators on research projects, and supports in-house evaluation efforts to build program capacity for evaluation. The Associate Director is a thought partner for and leads efforts to document social impact of IIHHS. The Associate Director supports the annual reporting efforts of IIHHS, including helping to strengthen and disseminate the annual report survey, preparing the data for the Director to include in the written annual report, and supporting data visualization efforts. IIHHS is seeking a creative, self-starting team member, who is effective working alone and as part of a team. The Associate Director supervises and works collaboratively with the PT Operations Coordinator, and also works collaboratively with colleagues across the Institute. The Associate Director ensures that all fiscal and personnel functions of the department operate at optimum efficiency, that grant funding supports program operations, and that deliverables stay on schedule and within budget. The Associate Director reports to the Director of IIHHS and provides fiscal and administrative support for areas and positions within the department. This is not a remote/telework position.

Student Case Administrator - Restorative Practices - IE Harrisonburg
Student Case Administrators (SCAs) are undergraduate students who conduct one-on-one Individual Accountability Case Reviews for students who are alleged to have violated university policy. In Individual Accountability Case Reviews, SCAs evaluate evidence to determine whether or not the Responding Party is responsible for violating policy and, if applicable, assign outcomes. Student Case Administrators are undergraduate staff members in the Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices who participate in staff training and professional development; assist with various programs, outreach opportunities, and educational programs; and collaborate in the recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers.

GEAR UP Advisor (Part - Time) Harrisonburg
JMU is proud to partner with GEAR UP to serve students and families in Staunton City Schools. GEAR UP stands for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs. GEAR UP is a federal grant funded program to empower first-generation and underrepresented students on their path to college. GEAR UP Staunton serves a two-year cohort from the Staunton City Schools, starting in middle school and following the cohort two years after high school graduation. As a part-time GEAR UP Advisor, you'll play a vital role in shaping futures while working in a supportive, goal-oriented environment. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference in students’ lives while gaining meaningful experience in college and career access and readiness initiatives. Advisors work closely with the GEAR UP Project Director, Parent Liaison and a team of other Program Advisors as well as student employees.
