General Information:

We are seeking a technology professional to provide technical leadership, systems administration, reporting, troubleshooting, and operational support for the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. This position serves as the internal expert on financial aid technology systems, supports the delivery of financial aid awards and funds, manages technical processes within PeopleSoft Student Administration, and serves as a key liaison between Financial Aid and Information Technology.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead for processes required to deliver financial aid awards and funds.
    • Develop, implement, maintain, and test annual financial aid processing functions including FA Term setup, student budgets, mass packaging, and award notification processes.
  • Run, monitor, and troubleshoot financial aid processing jobs and automated workflows to ensure timely delivery of aid.
  • Support authorization processes for the distribution of financial aid funds.
  • Provide supervision, guidance, task management, and training for technical services staff to ensure effective support of scholarship and financial aid technologies.
  • Serve as the internal expert for PeopleSoft Financial Aid processing issues and collaborate with Information Technology teams to resolve system-related problems.
  • Manage Financial Aid security access within PeopleSoft in coordination with institutional security administrators.
  • Provide desktop and technical support for Financial Aid staff and coordinate issue resolution with institutional IT support services.
  • Develop and execute queries, reports, and data extracts to support internal decision-making and external reporting requirements.
  • Create reports using data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel and other reporting platforms.
  • Maintain and enhance the Financial Aid website, including content updates, usability improvements, and coordination of structural changes.
  • Coordinate system patch testing, document results, and ensure testing activities are completed within required timelines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manual and automated business processes through technology solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong stewardship of financial aid data and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and institutional requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Experience supporting enterprise systems, preferably PeopleSoft Student Administration or similar student information systems.
  • Knowledge of technology solutions, system troubleshooting, reporting, and data management.
  • Working knowledge of financial aid operations and regulations is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and recommend technology-based improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Experience developing reports, queries, and data extracts for operational and compliance reporting.
  • Ability to explain complex technical and regulatory requirements to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting website maintenance and web-based technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
