Cloud Security Analyst - Information Technology Harrisonburg
We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Security Analyst to assess, monitor, and improve the security configuration and risk posture of our cloud applications and environments. This role will work closely within IT, and across campus to assist the university ensure compliance with security best practices, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cloud-based environments, security frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies. This position is eligible for a remote or hybrid work schedule.
University Writing Center Graduate Assistant - Digital Specialist Harrisonburg
The University Writing Center (UWC), one of the Learning Centers programs, is an academic support resource that assists JMU students, faculty, and staff on their writing through appointment-based consultations, course workshops, and online resources. The bulk of our work is the writing consultations that are conducted either online or in person in the Learning Centers space on the first floor of the Student Success Center that employ a collaborative peer education model. Graduate Assistants work up to 20 hours per week with the following being the expected breakdown: 10 weekly hours of writing consultation, 5 weekly hours of center administration/work on a self-directed project and 5 weekly hours allotted for meetings and email correspondence.

The Academic Success Program (ASP) is an intervention developed to assist JMU students on academic suspension or academic probation in employing the academic strategies and personal motivation needed to succeed at JMU. The workshop sessions focus on topics such as time management, motivation, studying, self-care, and campus resources. Topics will be delivered through discussion and exploration of the actions, strategies, and skills for immediate utilization.
