Adjunct Faculty – Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry	Harrisonburg
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at James Madison University is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach a variety of chemistry and biochemistry courses. Our department currently serves about 3000 undergraduate students each year. We offer a wide variety of courses for chemistry majors, other STEM majors, general education, and pre-health professional students. Tenure Track Assistant Professor – Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry	Harrisonburg
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at James Madison University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor appointment to begin in Fall 2027. Applicants with expertise in any subdiscipline of chemistry with research and teaching interests in computational/theoretical chemistry are encouraged to apply. This position builds on our history of undergraduate teaching and research training that leverages over $10 million of existing instrumentation, including comprehensive facilities for nuclear chemistry, materials science, high-performance computing, NMR, and mass spectrometry. The department currently serves approximately 200 majors and about 3000 undergraduate students each year. We offer a wide variety of courses for chemistry majors, other STEM majors, general education, and pre-health professionals. Majors are actively involved in SAACS, AXE, and undergraduate research. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is actively committed to increasing the success of all students, attracting faculty and students with a range of backgrounds and experiences, and sustaining a welcoming work and learning environment. We are committed to excellence in undergraduate education, research, and mentoring undergraduates to help them reach their personal and professional goals. With 29 full-time faculty members, the department offers ACS certified B.S. degrees and teaches courses in all major areas of chemistry.
Graduate Assistant, Student Organization Management	Harrisonburg
The Graduate Assistant for Student Organization Management will assist in creating a welcoming and developmental environment in Student Life. Working directly with the Coordinator for Student Life, Student Organizations. this position will supervise student employees, support student organizations, and manage marketing materials. This position is expected to work 20 hours a week within business hours of Student Leadership and Involvement office (Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm).
Capital Construction Accountant	Harrisonburg
To support James Madison University and the Finance Department objectives of efficient use of resources through prudent fiscal stewardship. Specifically, to support the activities of Capital, Debt and Indirect Cost Accounting. This includes the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, schedules, working papers and journal entries, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data in capital construction, lease and indirect cost accounting while interpreting and complying with university and state policies and procedures.
Prospect Development Analyst	Harrisonburg
The Prospect Development Analyst provides strategic research, analysis, and data-driven insights that strengthen the major and principal gift pipeline. This position identifies and evaluates prospective donors, monitors, and informs and delivers actionable intelligence to front-line fundraisers and University leadership. Through a combination of research, data analytics, visualization, reporting, and fundraiser collaboration, the Prospect Development Analyst supports the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors to achieve the University’s philanthropic priorities and fundraising goals.
