Youth Program Specialist (11-Month Position)	Harrisonburg
We seek a Youth Program Specialist to support JMU and the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services (IIHHS)’s mission and vision to provide outreach programs to the community and provide quality experiential learning opportunities to JMU students. The Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) program, part of SexEdVA at JMU, is a broadly targeted effort based on the principles of positive youth development and optimal health for the young people of the Shenandoah Valley. The project’s design includes the implementation of positive youth development programs, and the integration of innovative components to reduce risky behaviors among teens in Harrisonburg City and Page County, Virginia. The programs used with the SRAE program are Wyman's Teen Outreach Program, the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles Project AIM program, and the Teen Speak motivational interviewing program. SexEdVA aims to ensure that young people across Virginia have access to sexual health information that is positive, inclusive, evidence-based, and medically accurate in order to make informed decisions regarding their health. SexEdVA seeks to advance health and education equity by addressing social determinants of health through comprehensive programming for youth and quality training for the adults who work with them. SexEdVA’s mission is to support adolescent sexual health in Virginia communities through training and technical assistance, curriculum development, research, and advocacy. Athletics Operation Assistant (Multiple Positions) (Part - Time)	Harrisonburg
James Madison University, a Division 1 member of the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference, is accepting applications for Athletic Operations Assistants within the Athletics Facilities and Events department. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Facilities and Events, this position will be responsible for assisting with the game operations of all varsity athletic events and other special events within the JMU Athletics venues. This posting will be used to fill multiple openings for this position.
Event Assistant for Program Registration (Part - Time)	Harrisonburg
The Office of Student Life at James Madison University is currently seeking applicants for a part-time position in the Event Management team. This position will help in developing, implementing, and supporting the Program Registration process for recognized student organizations and managing the JMU Campus Master Calendar through the Event Management Software. This position serves as a campus security authority under the Jean Cleary Campus Safety Act. The Division of Student Affairs includes University Career Center, Center for Multicultural Student Services, Community Engagement and Volunteer Center, Counseling Center, Dean of Students, Disability Services, Student Accountability & Restorative Practices, Sexual Orientation, Orientation & Transition, Residence Life, Student Life, University Health Center, University Recreation, and Well Dukes. The Technical Operations Coordinator helps to manage the successful production operations of the Forbes Center, and provides technical support and guidance for over 200 professional guest artist, student and faculty performances as well as support for conferences and special events.
Assistant Teacher - Young Children's Program (Part-Time, Multiple Positions)	Harrisonburg
The Assistant Teachers will work with other staff members to provide an optimal learning environment for young children. These positions will be responsible for ensuring the physical, social, cognitive and educational needs of young learners are met.
