James Madison University’s TRIO Programs support and empower first-generation, low-income, and other disadvantaged students through federally funded initiatives designed to promote college access and success. Programs such as Upward Bound and Talent Search provide academic preparation, advising, financial aid guidance, and postsecondary application support to increase secondary school completion and college enrollment and graduation. The office of First-Generation Student Success seeks a part-time fiscal and administrative support professional to provide essential financial, purchasing, and administrative assistance for two TRIO grants. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, the ability to manage confidential information, and the capacity to work collaboratively with program staff and campus partners while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and university guidelines. • Hours are typically during normal business hours of 8am – 5pm • Approximately 20 hours of work per week over the course of a calendar year • On-campus position (not remote) in an office environment setting
