This leader will assist in planning and directing contract administration practices, contract compliance activities, contract file reviews, standardizing procurement processes, FOIA responses, detailed analysis and reporting, Oracle Procurement/Supplier & Contract Administration Modules functional/business oversight, small business initiatives (inclusive of compliance with state laws), economic development, and other technology and business operational activities that align with JMU's mission and financial stewardship priorities. The Assistant Director will also develop/maintain, facilitate and/or provide oversight to internal campus procurement policy/procedure and systems training and external communication and outreach activities. The Assistant Director of Strategic Operations will be expected to support value-driven purchasing solutions in alignment with the Rules Governing Procurement of Goods, Services, Insurance and Construction by Public Institutions of Higher Education of the Commonwealth of Virginia and other pertinent Virginia regulations, and will be expected to be assigned a commodity area and/or conduct procurements/contracting activities on an as assigned basis. This position will provide back-up to the Director of Procurement Services and the Assistant Director of Sourcing and Contracting as needed. The position will support technical writing, manual/policy updates, and standard operating procedures across the department. This position will work closely with departments, vendors, and state agencies to foster ethical, efficient, and customer-focused procurement practices. |

TGS is seeking applications for a Graduate Assistant who will assist with communication, recruitment marketing, event management, web development, social media as well as special projects in support of the responsibilities of our office. We welcome applications from full-time graduate students enrolled in any graduate program.
A Graduate Assistant in this role can expect to have the opportunity to develop skills that are consistent with what you do in your field. These skills will include: Communication, content design and writing, project management, web content development, creativity, innovation, teamwork, time management, and independent responsibility. You will also develop other skills that would be helpful for your own professional development. | The Office of Disability Services (ODS) at James Madison University (JMU) is seeking a talented, motivated person to work as a part-time Exam Accommodations Assistant.
This is a 9-month position that corresponds with the JMU fall and spring semesters: August through May. This posting is for a part-time wage position with no benefits. This position is limited to a maximum of 1,500 hours per year (May 1 to April 30), with an average of 29 hours per week.
The regular shift is six to eight hours per day, Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. and Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with alternate hours during Final Exam Week (December and May).
Due to the access this position has to undergraduate records, current JMU Undergraduate students are not eligible for this position. |
