Student Leadership Prog Asst UMW
The primary responsibilities of the Program Assistant are to assist with the planning and implementation of all student leadership development initiatives.This role requires the Program Assistant to be available to work during regular office hours and to be on-site for programming during evening and weekend hours. The Program Assistant is required to live in UMW provided housing due to the late-night and weekend programming requirements, as well as support to the New Student Programs Office as needed. This person will also serve as a member of the University's crisis response team through a rotating on-call schedule.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching, mentoring undergraduate research students, and will contribute to a dynamic academic community.

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Mary Washington invites applications for one or more Visiting Assistant Professor positions to begin August 15, 2025, with a possibility of renewal. UMW is a liberal arts and sciences university dedicated to effective teaching and undergraduate research in an inclusive environment that embraces diverse talents and backgrounds. The department seeks broadly-trained biologists to teach courses in introductory biology and two or more upper-level courses to fill projected needs: human or chordate anatomy, cellular biology, exercise physiology, immunology, human physiology, or biostatistics. Candidates may also have opportunities to develop additional upper-level courses in their discipline. Candidates should provide evidence of excellence in teaching undergraduates.
