Position Summary
Provide supervision to evening staff, events and programs held in the Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Center (RFWC). This position has the opportunity to develop evening recreational programs for students. Must have the ability to work independently.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Implement the RFWC risk management plan in the event of an emergency.
- Develop late-night events and activities to increase opportunities for student participation, including tournaments of table tennis, foosball, billiards, video gaming, etc.
- Coordinate with Scheduling Services to schedule events and activities in the RFWC.
- Oversee operations of the welcome desk area. Receive and greet visitors and provide general information regarding office and University policies and procedures as needed.
- Oversee game room; assist in maintaining inventory of video games and systems, sports equipment, and supplies. Assist with checking out games, controllers, pool balls, ping pong paddles, and other equipment to participants
- Oversee transactions for locker rentals, guest passes and other fees, and perform daily cash register reconciliation. Oversee the locker rental program.
- Supervise and train student staff assigned to evening shift. Organize and set work priorities for student staff.
- Monitor building and locker rooms.
- Assist in setting up and taking down equipment. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored or secured correctly.
- Assist with maintenance and inventory of bicycle and outdoor adventure checkout equipment.
- Maintain inventory of supplies.
- Compile information for various statistical reports, surveys, and questionnaires as requested.
- Monitor and approve student employee WTE timesheets.
- As backup during evening hours, supervise intramural activities in the RFWC.
- When facility hours are reduced during the summer and other breaks, additional duties may be assigned. These duties may include creating RFWC publications, completing reports and surveys, assisting with preparation for summer camps, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills
- High school diploma/GED with two to three years related work experience required.
- Working knowledge of computers, as well as word processing, spreadsheet, and email applications, required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task required.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Supervisory and programming experience preferred.
- Facility management experience preferred.

- Position requires the use of computers and computer systems (hardware and software) to enter data, to retrieve and process information and to create documents.
- This position requires effective communication skills and positive interaction and cooperation with students, parents, faculty, staff, and external contacts.
- This position requires the presentation of a consistently professional demeanor at all times, even in difficult, negative or frustrating situations.

Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements
- Standard work hours are Monday through Thursday 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm and Friday 12:30 - 9:00pm. Flexibility desired to work occasional weekend hours for special events.
- Work schedule will be adjusted when facility hours are reduced during the summer and other breaks.
- Occasional overtime may be required.
