Job Overview:

The Identification Clerk is responsible for issuing photo identification to all NYRA employees and horsemen at Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga.

  • Essential Functions:
    • Maintain a daily log of ID badges and temporary/ visitor passes issued.
    • Replace lost badges and make revisions when a change in identification status occurs.
    • Provide application process information.
    • Work closely with the New York State Gaming Commission to ensure individuals are properly licensed and issue stops on ID’s when instructed by the New York State Gaming Commission.
    • Issue parking stickers to qualified horsemen.
    • Ensure that horsemen have at least horse ownership of 5% to qualify for parking pass.
    • Assist Backstretch workers with the completion of health insurance and pension applications.
    • Basic knowledge of horsemen responsibilities in the backstretch area.

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Primarily sedentary in nature with no special demands required as this is an office role.

Pay Range / Salary: $23-25/hour
