Job Overview:

Assists and supports the Security - Saratoga Supervisor to manage the process of assigning dormitory
room: receives lodging requests, establishes room availability and matches rooms with occupants;
Coordinates check-ins and check-outs ensuring smooth transitions; Monitors upkeep and activities
in the dormitory area interacting with occupants; Provides information regarding regulations and
procedures

Essential Functions:

Helps receive requests for temporary lodging from out-of-town workers;
Helps to evaluates requests for lodging and the availability of dormitory and stake rooms
prior to each meet;
Supports the Security Supervisosr in coordinating room assignments in dormitories and
stake rooms for out-of-own workers;
• Communicates details of room assignments, regulations and dates of occupancy to
tenants/potential tenants;
• Supervises check-ins and check-outs managing occupancy lists for Captain;
• Supervises the daily activities within the dormitories and communicates relevant matter to
Security Supervisor and BEST Staff as needed;
• Monitors upkeep and maintenance of dormitories and stake rooms. Identifies any isssues and reports to Saratoga Fire Marshals or NYRA Facilities as needed.
Maintains an updated database of all residents housed on the property.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in the horse racing industry; experience working at a
residential facility is a plus. Security/Law Enforcement experience a plus.
• Other Requirements: Excellent verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving
skills; Experience in managing a residential facility is a plus; Knowledge of Spanish is also a
plus; Willingness to work a racing schedule, which involves most weekends and many
holidays.

Knowledge of NYRA dormitories – logistics and procedures details, and room assignment process;

Pay Range / Salary:  $20.54 - $27.73
