This person will serve as the first point of contact for the Electrical Engineering Department and is responsible for various routine and nonroutine administrative support. This responsibility will include management of the front office reception area, receiving and routing all calls, all visitors, faculty and students, as well as vendors and shipments to the department. This employee will also coordinate and complete all faculty, student, and staff travel needs for the department and will be responsible for all of the departmental filing systems, both imaging and archiving. Other responsibilities of this position include assistance of yearly inventory, purchasing through requisition and pcard, and the coordinator for accrediting processes involving the acquisition of faculty information, course materials, writing of report, and coordination and planning for Evaluators visit. This position requires skills for independent judgment, decision making, and good problem solving. Strong marketing skills that include, monthly newsletters, and outreach. This position will also assist with inhouse programs, faculty searches, and special events. This position will assist with management of student workers. This list is not all encompassing. |
