This is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment with a primary focus on developing and collaborating for externally funded research and covering graduate education in biostatistics and related fields. The candidate should have earned a doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline. The successful candidate should demonstrate a record of independent and/or collaborative research programs or have an emerging record of developing such programs. The candidate will teach graduate-level biostatistics courses annually. The faculty member will also contribute to course development and curriculum planning, advise and mentor graduate students, provide service to the department and university, and engage in scholarly activities focusing on the scholarship of teaching and learning. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate effectiveness in developing and collaborating with research teams to obtain external research funding and a commitment to developing and practicing effective, evidence-based teaching strategies tailored to public health-related applications.
