Department Summary
The University of North Texas competes as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. North Texas’ athletic programs are classified as NCAA Division I, the largest and highest division among all colleges and universities. The 46,000 square-foot Athletic Center located off South Bonnie Brae Street is the centerpiece of North Texas athletics. Athletics strives to conduct a competitive athletics program that promotes faculty, staff, student and community affiliation and participation with the North Texas Athletics. Position Overview
This position is responsible for the oversight of accounting and financial reporting functions for the athletic department. This position performs day to day business office activities including complex clerical and accountingrelated functions involved in the preparation and maintenance of financial and other related business records. The incumbent serves as a departmental liaison, performs clerical financial functions, prepares and analyzes financial statements and budget reports, monitors and reconciles all financial accounts and compiles accounting reports for various constituencies. This position reports to the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director/Chief Financial Officer.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in in related field and four years' of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA and Conference rules and regulations. Knowledge of Texas rules and regulations related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate). Strong planning and analytical skills.

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties:
- Assists the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director/CFO with all financial reporting, accounting, and budget forecasting functions
- Analyze and prepare reports and spreadsheets for internal and external use
- Creates monthly budget statements and assists with short range forecasting
- Responsible for reconciliation of accounts, to include payroll and other University financial reporting services
- Develops system for monitoring financial transactions and internal data used to effectively estimate budget projections and forecasts; assists with annual budget preparation process
- Completes the preparation of annual reports: EADA, NCAA Statement of Revenues and Expenses, various NCAA and Conference surveys, postseason competition reports, and ad hoc financial analysis reports
- Prepare athletic journal entries to include posting data for credit card sales, deposits, campus IDOs, etc.
- Direct accounts receivable functions to include invoicing and reconciling of contracts, sponsorships, tickets, and outside events
- Direct the reconciliations of purchase orders, journal entries, receivable accounts, credit cards, and accounting transfers
- Ensures all revenue and expense transactions are coded according to Athletics and University standards and policy
- Assists Department units with various reporting functions
