Department Summary
The Student Services Department at UNT at Frisco strives to help students achieve academic and career related successes and overall wellbeing. Student Services is the center for all resources and information related to being a student at UNT at Frisco. Frisco Student Services delivers holistic and student-centered programs that support our students from the moment they walk through our doors until the day they walk across that stage as graduates. Working closely with faculty and industry partners, we strive to create an environment that cultivates the academic, personal, and professional success of the UNT at Frisco population. UNT at Frisco Student Services enhances the student experience by providing co-curricular activities aligned with students' academic and professional goals.

Position Overview
This in-person position will serve as a positive and helpful presence as the Welcome Desk Supervisor for the front desk at Frisco Landing. This person will be the building gatekeeper and assist with trouble shooting/problem solving for student needs and maintain excellent communication channels with all unit leaders to ensure up to date information is shared with staff, students and visitors. The Welcome Desk Supervisor will ensure that timely and accurate data is collected and kept on those who communicate with the front desk.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree and three years' of moderately responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Exceptional customer service skills. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others. Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats. Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple assignments effectively. Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness. Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships. Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Prior supervisory work or team lead to other peer workers Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, mainly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS Excellent communication skills, particularly in helping to clarify complicated messages and repackage them in easy terms for front desk team or student/visitors

Job Duties:
- Be a positive and helpful front facing presence to all who enter the building. A gatekeeper for visitors and students offering assistance wherever possible. Assist with trouble shooting and devising processes to keep Welcome Desk efficient.
- Keep frequent communication channels open with departments housed within Frisco Landing to ensure up to date information is shared with the Welcome Desk Team for optimal customer service delivery. Lead Welcome Desk Partner committee meetings to uncover deficiencies and improve collaboration.
- Ensure that timely and accurate data are kept at all times on those who approach and and communicate with the Welcome Desk so that appropriate assessment can be gathered, interpreted and shared with campus partners. This data is critical to determine funding for additional support.
- Utilize FERPA training to be able to handle student records with care and confidentially. Ensure student workers are well versed in FERPA rules to ensure compliance.
- Create a variety of safety readiness training working with UNT PD, Frisco PD and risk management to be able to respond to building emergencies and handle appropriately. Serve as a member of the UNT at Frisco Safety Committee.
- Implement all training for Welcome Desk staff on UNT policies and procedures and offer continued support, scheduling, supervision and timely performance evaluations.
- Act as a positive representative of the UNT and thus a constant role model for Welcome Desk team and other UNT employees.
