Department Summary
The new Department of Strategic and Operational Transformation (SOT) within the Office of Operations and Business Management is responsible for the development and management of the institution's strategy and strategic plan, process improvement, planning, and risk management. This new position will staff the department with one FTE to support this effort. The position will work with leaders across HSC to define strategic objectives and key results, establish datapoints for tracking, monitor progress, and facilitate adjustment recommendations as applicable. Filling this position is critical to move forward with the work required for the management of the current strategic plan and development of the next strategic plan.

Position Overview
The Administrator of Process Improvement (PI) within the Department of Strategic and Operational Transformation, Office of Operations and Business Management is responsible for managing performance improvement across the entire institution. Reporting to the Associate VP of the Department, the Administrator of PI will provide direction for, manage and facilitate key activities to analyze areas for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and five (5) years of experience in conducting after-action reviews, process improvement, or audits.

Job Duties:
- Identifies and facilitates a discussion of specific activities, processes, projects and/or events of significant impact based on objectives, performance measures and the activity/project intent.
- Conducts formal and informal after-action reviews after previously identified events or as on-the-spot needs arise.
- Reviews key points and issues, validates findings, and identifies strengths and weaknesses as part of the after-action review process.
- Provides recommendations and consultation to leadership staff in areas of improvement and ways to enable organizational success.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to augment bandwidth, and improve skills and capabilities in assessing overall performance of activities, projects, and/or events.
- Creates and adapts tools to assist staff with performing assessments of areas in need of process improvement. Works with datasets to understand and analyze decision-making in process improvement.
- Works with clients/customers to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of work performance for stakeholder engagement and business process improvement.
- Oversees the development of process improvement plans and the execution into actionable projects and deliverables within a set timeline.
- Execute project scope, and provide strong subject matter expertise to the tasks or workstreams supported by process improvement.
- Create corresponding deliverables to convey results, including but not limited to slide decks, written reports, and presentations.
- Works collaboratively with team members in assessing risks as part of process improvement to develop mitigation strategies.
- Provides instructional guidance in all areas related to process improvement including creation and implementation of training.
