Department Summary

The primary purpose of the Integrated Student Service Center (ISSC)/UNT OneStop is to provide a progressive and simplified student experience across the areas of financial aid, student accounting, money management, registrar and admissions. Central to the ISSC model is to promote a culture that supports customer service, student satisfaction, retention, and student success.

Position Overview

The Senior Director, Integrated Student Services (UNT One Stop) will be responsible for executing operational functions related to comprehensive and holistic enrollment and financial services offered through the Integrated Student Financial Center (UNT One Stop), including admissions, financial aid and scholarships, financial advocacy/literacy, financial intervention/support, ID cards, and billing and payments of student accounts. Leads the execution of service delivery for a multi-pronged enrollment and financial customer service model at both UNT and UNT Frisco.

The position reports to and collaborates with the Associate Vice President, Student Accounting & UNT One Stop on strategic planning to develop and enhance service models that promote seamless interactions across all enrollment and financial service functions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related field and seven years of closely related professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

A successful candidate will have experience in leading and/or implementing integrated student services or similar student services models, and knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in higher education enrollment management, financial services, and student success. Significant experience leading a primary department focused on enrollment and/or financial services operations (specifically admissions, enrollment/registrar, financial aid, student accounts).

A successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of leadership with the ability to lead a high-performing team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service; the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, executive campus leaders, campus partners, and a variety of external customers; and in-depth knowledge of student services functions, including admissions, financial aid & scholarships, registration, and student accounting.

A successful candidate must be able to lead analysis, present complex situations clearly and effectively to a variety of internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate a thorough understanding of high-impact business processes across all enrollment and financial services operations.

Lastly, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading initiatives related to Salesforce implementation, the AWS/Amazon Connect telephone system, and/or PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.

Job Duties:

  • Leads the execution of cross-functional, coordinated, and comprehensive financial and student enrollment support services in the areas of admissions, financial aid and scholarships, financial literacy, and billing and payments of student accounts, as well as financial intervention, advocacy, and emergency support programs.
  • Enhances integrated services to ensure individual and team effectiveness and collaboration that spans the student enrollment journey from application to graduation. Partners with the Associate Vice President to forge partnerships and solutions that create pathways for solutions to be shared from the UNT One Stop to colleges and other administrative units.
  • Serves as a liaison between UNT One Stop and each home office within the Eagle Student Services Center to monitor service level agreements for services provided by the UNT One Stop, leveraging data, trend analysis, and service-platform data (CRM, service queue, and phone system) to design innovative approaches to managing peak and non-peak services and support.
  • Partners with data stewards and data experts across the university to leverage data across multiple systems and channels to identify students needing additional/specialized support (ex: financial support, additional outreach, customized intervention/advocacy, etc.) and proactively link them with supportive services within and beyond the UNT One Stop.
  • Provides operational leadership for UNT's Start Green, Stay Green (emergency support), constantly evolving the associated programs and services to support UNT students through their short-term crisis while enabling long-term success through coaching and mentorship. Advises UNT colleges and schools on student emergency support matters.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with overtime as needed to achieve unit goals or during peak seasons.
