Department Summary
The Department of Electrical Engineering offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees, and is home to over 400 undergraduate and graduate students. Position Overview
This person will serve as the first point of contact for the Electrical Engineering Department and is responsible for various routine and nonroutine administrative support. This responsibility will include management of the front office reception area, receiving and routing all calls, all visitors, faculty and students, as well as vendors and shipments to the department. This employee will also coordinate and complete all faculty, student, and staff travel needs for the department and will be responsible for all of the departmental filing systems, both imaging and archiving. Other responsibilities of this position include assistance of yearly inventory, purchasing through requisition and pcard, and the coordinator for accrediting processes involving the acquisition of faculty information, course materials, writing of report, and coordination and planning for Evaluators visit.
This position requires skills for independent judgment, decision making, and good problem solving. Strong marketing skills that include, monthly newsletters, and outreach. This position will also assist with inhouse programs, faculty searches, and special events. This position will assist with management of student workers. This list is not all encompassing. This is not a remote position.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree and three years' of moderately responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

- Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.

- Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple assignments effectively.

- Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Job Duties:

- Provide Administrative support for front office related needs, scheduling of Department Conference rooms, office and kitchen supplies and copier.
- Strong marketing skills that include monthly or quarterly news letters, social media, and outreach.
- Assist Admin Coordinator with managing student workers, their office hours and assignments.
- Will assist Administrative Coordinator and Student Services Coordinator in Administrative support of data basing, correspondence, reports, and event planning of activities for the department.
- Coordinates and completes all departmental travel needs, including arrangements and required documentation for faculty, student, and staff. Create reimbursements and reconciliations as needed.
- Responsible for management and maintenance of all department filing system, both imaging and archiving.
- Departmental purchasing needs for office supplies, events, and activities. Will also make purchases for faculty. Will work with the Administrative Coordinator to submit requisitions or make purchases with a university Pcard.
