Department Summary
UNTHSC College of Nursing was created to help with the state’s nursing shortage with the academic degrees needed most by area partners and employers to provide high-quality health care in the communities where we live and work.

Position Overview
The UNTHSC College of Nursing is seeking to hire a Business Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for various administrative tasks, including but not limited to, budget monitoring, travel arrangements and expense reporting, calendar management, and project management support.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
|
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, determine priorities, and make appropriate decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to be self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision.

Job Duties:
- Manage and direct office services, such as records, departmental finances, budget preparation, personnel issues, and housekeeping, to aid leadership team.
- Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
- Attend meetings to record minutes.
- Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals. Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties to take messages.

- Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
- Make travel arrangements and help with travel reports as needed for leadership team.
- Prepare agendas and make arrangements, such as coordinating catering for luncheons, for committee, board, and other meetings.
- Review and analyze budget reports and help prepare and develop budget modifications and recommendations as needed.
- Other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
