Department Summary
The Central Business Office (CBO) at UNT Dallas provides expert support for personnel processing, procurement, and software purchasing across the campus. By centralizing these services, the CBO streamlines operations, ensures policy compliance, and helps departments focus on their core missions. Our goal is to deliver timely, accurate, and customer-focused business solutions that support the university’s strategic goals.

Position Overview
The Finance Operations Coordinator position offers the ability to work independently as well as in a supportive team atmosphere. The position will perform a wide variety of administrative business functions including payroll, human resources, budgeting, procurement, employee reimbursements, trainings, and reporting in support of multiple departments and programs across campus.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
|

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced written communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
- Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in professional formats.
- Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
- Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
- Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.

Job Duties:
- HR/Payroll
- Processes HR actions forms (reclassification, task, equity review).
- Processes ePars of all types (hire, employee change, transfer, terminate).
- Assist with new hire on-boarding by completing required i9 verifications.
- Processes department request to post positions in PageUp.
- Procurement/Reimbursements
- Processes travel reimbursements, coordinates computer and equipment purchases, and handles check requests.
- Completes procurement process for software purchases and IT compliance.
- Supports departmental procurement needs by use of Purchasing Card or entering requisitions.
- Budgeting/Accounting/Reporting
- Prepares budget and human resources related ad-hoc reports for select departments and programs across campus.
