Department Summary
HSC Health is the academic clinical practice of the Health Science Center, where quality care meets quality education.
HSC Health primary and multispecialty care offices are located on the HSC, Denton and Dallas UNT System campuses, focusing on improving health outcomes to build healthier communities. Care includes mobile health initiatives and extends to hospitals, surgery centers, long-term/continuing care centers, and in-home care. HSC Health’s interprofessional teams work collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient.
Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, specialized technicians, nurses and more work together while intentionally integrating healthcare students, residents, and fellows to deliver care to our community.

Position Overview
The University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC), HSC Health is seeking a full-time Family Medicine or Internal Medicine primary care physician to provide care within the HSC Family Medicine Clinic. This position requires the clinical assessment/evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients in accordance with the standard of care.

Minimum Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited medical school. Licensed to practice medicine in another state or have completed at least two years of postgraduate residency (not limited to the United States) Passed the Texas Medical Jurisprudence Examination.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Licensed to practice medicine in another state or have completed at least two years of postgraduate residency (not limited to the United States) Passed the Texas Medical Jurisprudence Examination. Ability to practice medicine within the scope of license, training and credentials Ability to care for a diverse patient population

Required License/Registration/Certifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible Texas Medical Board unrestricted medical license

Job Duties:
- Primary medical care to patients with various medical conditions; examine, diagnose, develop and review treatment plans, ongoing care, order and review laboratory tests as needed to treat patients
- Collaborate with healthcare team(s) and other members of the team such as; advance practice professionals and other clinical providers (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Pharmacist, social worker, specialist etc). Provide continuous and comprehensive primary care in an outpatient ambulatory care setting.
- Timely documentation of care provided within an electronic health record. Coordinate and integrate care across all elements of the healthcare system
